2 Ways to Make an Organic Coconut Sugar Body Scrub

In this article, we’ll show you how to create a homemade body scrub with organic coconut sugar in just a few simple steps.

Why Use Coconut Sugar for Skincare?

Coconut sugar is less abrasive than salt or synthetic exfoliants, making it a gentle option for removing dead skin cells. When combined with nourishing oils, it helps soften and refresh your skin, leaving it smooth and moisturized.

Note: Always perform a patch test before using any new skincare product. Avoid scrubs on broken or sensitive skin.

What You’ll Need

1 cup organic coconut sugar

2 cups coconut oil (or olive, almond, or another carrier oil)

5–12 drops of your favorite essential oil (lavender, peppermint, or citrus work well)

A mixing bowl

A clean glass jar with a lid for storage

How to Make Your Organic Coconut Sugar Body Scrub

Step 1: Mix the Ingredients

In a bowl, combine the organic coconut sugar, oil, and essential oil. Stir until the sugar is evenly coated and the mixture has a smooth texture.

Step 2: Store the Scrub

Transfer the mixture into a clean jar with a tight lid. Store it in a cool, dry place.

Step 3: Use the Scrub

In the shower, apply a small amount to damp skin. Massage gently in circular motions, focusing on rough areas like elbows, knees, and heels. Rinse with warm water. Use 1–2 times per week.
